We have decided to change the direction of our business.  We are looking at moving out of  scrapbooking and stamping.  We will start to list remaining inventory on the website at sale prices.  Currently, they are 25%-30% off.   You can always stop in at the shop to see what we have.  We have some things listed on Ebay.  Our Ebay name is impressionsmatt.    
 
The Framer’s Corner
One way to protect your portraits and artwork is the choice of glass.  There are many types of glass.  In this issue we will explain the most common types used in picture framing.  The most basic is clear glass.  This type of glass has a glare and does not protect from UV rays.  It is used for general purpose items.  Non glare glass offers reflection control and optimal clarity.  It does not protect your piece from UV rays.  Both types of the above glass are available in conservation quality.  This means that the glass will protect your piece from UV rays.  Why is this important?  Sunlight and florescent lighting can fade or damage artwork and photos.  Also the beauty of large pictures can be diminished by irritating glares.  By understanding the differences in the types of glass can help you find the best fit for the cherished piece you are framing.
